Classic Winner, Leading Sire Exaggerator Moves to Elite Thoroughbreds for 2022

Exaggerator, Curlin‘s only three-time grade 1 winner at stud,  has been moved to Elite Thoroughbreds in Folsom, Louisiana where he will stand the 2022 season for a fee of $5,000 Live Foal.

Exaggerator won the Preakness Stakes (G1), the betfair.com Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1), and Santa Anita Derby (G1), as well as placing 2nd in the Kentucky Derby (G1) at age 3. At 2, he won the Saratoga Special (G2) and the $1 million Delta Downs Jackpot (G3) and finished second in the Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (G1). From 15 starts, he had 6 wins, 5 of those stakes victories as well as placing in another 4 stakes and earned $3,581,120.

Exaggerator is the 2021 leading second-crop sire by number of winners (80).  He ranked 9th by earnings for both his 1st and 2nd crops. 

His top 2021 runners include 2-year-old stakes-winning fillies Sea Level  and Pacific Coast , as well as stakes winner Gagetown , winner of the Prairie Mile Stakes and placed in the Iowa Derby and St. Louis Derby, and multiple stakes-placed Crew Dragon.
